The insurers refused to increase from their very low offer so court proceedings were issued. An offer made by our solicitors to them was rejected, so when a settlement hearing took place and our solicitors obtained an award of compensation of twice the initial offer, not only was Ms L awarded interest on top of the £2,700 but the other side were also ordered to pay additional legal costs as a consequence of not making a reasonable offer to settle.

Mr A was a a passenger in his brother's car in June 2006 when another driver reversed into their car as they were parking. He suffered whiplash injury's to his neck, shoulder and the small of his back.
