I went for a run this morning. Luckily where I live, to the south of Bristol, there are plenty of fields and cycle tracks to run across. However, to get to them I have to run down a single track road. The speed limit is the National Speed Limit, so in theory someone can travel 60 miles per hour, if the conditions are safe to do so.
This morning a white van was driving towards me, and I could hear a car coming in the opposite direction also. The white van could see me, and see that I had nowhere to go, but I was not going to stop him on his very important journey. After all, the extra 5 seconds he saved must have made his day. He carried on driving, forcing me to mount what there was of a bank to avoid being taken out by him, whilst his passengers shouted obscenities at me.

The Motor Accident Solicitors Society (MASS) is a not for profit organisation that campaigns to ensure that the victims of Road Traffic Accidents receive justice. They have recently seen a large increase in the number of whiplash claims where insurers are trying to settle whiplash or other road accident claims directly with innocent accident victims. If you have been contacted by an insurance company and they have tried to settle your claim without a solicitor becoming involved, MASS would like to hear from you.
I know a lot of MASS solicitors (many of them help 1stClaims clients) and they will all be willing to talk to anyone who is unsure whether to settle their claim with an insurance company without involving a solicitor. If this applies to you, simply complete an enquiry form and one of our solicitors will be able to put your mind at rest. There is no charge for this service.
For more information about MASS you can visit the MASS Website.
